Terms and conditions for personalised shopping experience
1. Application
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to bookings made by customers (“Customer”, “you”, “your”) for a personalised shopping experience at The Perth Mint Shop (“Experience”). The Experience is provided by Gold Corporation (ABN 98 838 298 431) of 310 Hay Street, East Perth, WA, 6004, a statutory authority of the Government of Western Australia established under the Gold Corporation Act 1987, trading as “The Perth Mint” (“The Perth Mint”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
2. Experience
- The Experience includes:
- store credit valued at AUD 2000 (“Store Credit”) which can be used on any product in the Perth Mint Shop, excluding bullion products, The Perth Mint Gold Tour, and online products.
- a personalised two-hour shopping experience with dedicated staff members from The Perth Mint Shop;
- an opportunity to bring up to four guests to accompany the Customer during the Experience;
- exclusive after hour access to The Perth Mint Shop; and
- light refreshments, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, for the Customer and their guests.
- The total amount payable by the Customer for the Experience is AUD 2,000 (“Experience Fee”).
- The Experience is exclusively tailored to the Customer who makes the booking, ensuring it meets their specific needs and preferences. While guests accompanying the Customer are welcome to provide support and enjoy the ambiance, they will not receive the full Experience. The focus will remain entirely on the Customer.
- Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted on The Perth Mint’s premises without prior written approval from The Perth Mint. If the guest cannot provide evidence of this approval at the time of entry, The Perth Mint may, at its sole discretion, deny entry.
- The Customer and all guests are required to comply with the Customer code of conduct throughout the Experience. The Perth Mint reserves the right to request that any Customer or guests who breach the Customer Code of Conduct vacate The Perth Mint’s premises.

- Our receipt of your payments is subject to the clearing time applicable to the corresponding payment methods listed in our FAQs.
3. Booking details and payment
3.1 Booking
- Bookings for the Experience are only available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
- All bookings must be made at least two weeks in advance, but no more than six months before the preferred date for the Experience.
- Customers can make bookings for an Experience by emailing:
- The Perth Mint reserves the right to accept or decline any booking request, and refuse entry to any guest at its discretion.
- Final guest numbers and names are to be supplied to The Perth Mint at least three days prior to the Experience Date. The Perth Mint is to be advised of any and all amendments to the submitted guest list.
3.2 Payment of deposit
- Upon receipt of the Customer’s email, The Perth Mint will contact the Customer via telephone to confirm the details of the Customer’s booking.
- A booking fee of AUD 500 (“Deposit”) is required to hold the selected date of the Customer’s Experience (“Experience Date”). The selected date will not be reserved until The Perth Mint has received the Deposit as cleared funds.
- The Deposit will be credited towards the Experience Fee.
- Upon receipt of the Deposit, The Perth Mint will issue the Customer with an invoice for the remaining balance of the Experience Fee (AUD 1,500), which must be paid to finalise the booking (“Remaining Balance”).
3.3 Payment of remaining balance
- The Customer must pay the Remaining Balance at least 10 days before the Experience Date (“Final Payment Date”).
- The booking will remain provisional until The Perth Mint receives full payment of the Remaining Balance.
- Upon receipt of the Remaining Balance, The Perth Mint will provide the Customer with written confirmation of the booking details.
- If The Perth Mint does not receive the Remaining Balance by the Final Payment Date and the Customer has not requested an extension (which The Perth Mint may grant at its discretion), The Perth Mint will cancel the booking and refund the Deposit to the Customer without notice or liability.
3.4 Food and beverage
- Under no circumstances are Customers or their guests allowed to bring any food or beverages into The Perth Mint Shop, except for those provided by The Perth Mint or its partnered providers, whether before, during, or after the Experience.
- The Customer is responsible for informing The Perth Mint of any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking the Experience, or at least three days prior to the Experience Date.
4. Store credit
- The Store Credit can be applied towards the following:
- purchases of products available at the Perth Mint Shop, excluding bullion products, online purchases, and The Perth Mint Gold Tour;
- a deposit for the purchase of a custom-designed jewellery piece; or
- a deposit for ordering products that are not currently in stock but can be specially ordered.
- If the Customer does not use the Store Credit during the Experience, either partially or in full, The Perth Mint will issue the Customer with a gift card voucher (“Gift Card”) for the amount that was not used during the Experience.
5. Use of gift cards
The bearer of a Gift Card issued by The Perth Mint agree that their use is subject to the following terms and exclusions:
- Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for bullion products, online purchases, or The Perth Mint Gold Tour. Gift Cards are only valid for in-store use at The Perth Mint Shop.
- Gift Cards are valid for three years from the date of issue. Any unused balance will not be refunded or attributed to any transactions after the expiry date.
- No refunds or store credit will be provided for any unused balance, and Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Gift Cards will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
- All valid and unused Gift Cards are fully transferable. To transfer a Gift Card, the current bearer must provide written consent to The Perth Mint by email (see above) including the name of the new bearer (“New Recipient”). Once the transfer is processed, The Perth Mint will send a confirmation email to the current bearer, who will then forfeit all rights to the Gift Card. The New Recipient will become the sole owner of the Gift Card.
- Gift Cards may not, without the prior written consent of The Perth Mint, be resold or offered for resale (including via online auction or other unauthorised resale sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes. If a Gift Card is sold or used in breach of this clause, the Gift Card may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the Gift Card will be unable to use the Gift Card.
- If the total cost of the goods being purchased with the Gift Card exceeds the card balance, the bearer of the Gift Card must pay the amount in excess of the card balance by an alternative payment method at the discretion of The Perth Mint.
- The Perth Mint reserves the right to verify the identity of the bearer of the Gift Card and to change these terms of use at any time without notice.
6. Cancellation and refund policy
6.1 Cancellation of booking
- Cancellations of a booking must be submitted in writing to The Perth Mint via email (see above).
- If you request to cancel your booking:
- more than seven days before your scheduled Experience time, we will provide a full refund of the Deposit and any Remaining Balance paid; or
- less than or equal to seven days before your scheduled Experience time, the Deposit will not be refunded, but any Remaining Balance paid will be refunded.
- Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment method used.
- The Perth Mint reserves the right to cancel the Experience at its sole discretion for reasons including, but not limited to, health, safety, security, occupancy, operational issues, or restrictions imposed by government authorities. If the Experience is cancelled by The Perth Mint, we will provide a full refund of the Deposit and any Remaining Balance paid. We are not liable for any costs you might incur due to the cancellation of the Experience.
6.2 Request to reschedule booking
- To request a reschedule of your booking, please contact us via email (see above).
- If you request to reschedule your booking:
- more than seven days before your scheduled Experience time, you may reschedule to another available date or time at no additional cost; or
- less than or equal to seven days before your scheduled Experience time, your request to reschedule will be denied, and you are expected to attend the original Experience time unless you choose to cancel your booking. In that case, the refund policy outlined in clause 6.1(b)(ii) will apply.
- If you are unable to attend your scheduled Experience Date, you may transfer your booking to someone else. To transfer the booking, you must email (see above) at least 24 hours before the Experience Date, providing the full name of the new attendee and the names of any accompanying guests.
- We reserve the right to reschedule the time of your Experience if necessary due to circumstances beyond our control. If rescheduling is required, we will, if practical, notify you of the new time seven days or more before your original Experience Date. If you cannot attend the new time, you may either reschedule to another available time at no extra cost or receive a refund of your Deposit and any Remaining Balance paid. We are not liable for any costs you might incur due to the rescheduling of the Experience Date.
- Subject to the Australian Consumer Law and any other applicable law, The Perth Mint will not provide any refunds in respect of the Deposit or the Remaining Balance where:
- you change your mind;
- there is a change in your personal circumstances; or
- you do not attend the Experience Date and do not set up an alternative date.
7. Changes to terms and conditions
- The Perth Mint reserves the right to make the changes to the Terms.
- In the event of a change to the Terms, The Perth Mint will publish the updated Terms on the Website, which shall take effect from the time of publication.
8. Limitation of liability
- The maximum liability of The Perth Mint to you at any time, provided only to the extent that The Perth Mint is at fault, is limited to the price you paid for the Experience.
- Under no circumstances will The Perth Mint be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of revenue or loss of profits, loss of reputation or loss of goodwill, or delay in delivery of the order, or any increased costs incurred by you arising from any provision of these Terms even if The Perth Mint has been advised of the possibility of such liability or foresaw or could have foreseen such liability, and notwithstanding whether such liability arises in contract, tort, equity or otherwise.
9. Privacy
- Any personal information submitted by you to us is subject to and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy set out at perthmint.com/privacy-policy/.
- You agree that, by purchasing any product pursuant to these Terms or communicating with us, you have read the Privacy Policy, understood its contents and consent to its requirements.
10. Severability and jurisdiction
- If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid by law, regulation or proceeding, all other provisions remain in full force and effect.
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to the transaction contemplated in these Terms and supersedes and extinguishes all prior oral agreements and understandings between you and us with respect to the transaction.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Western Australia and applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and you and us submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and courts which hear appeals in those courts.
11. Waivers and remedies cumulative
- No failure to exercise and no delay in exercising any right power or remedy under these Terms shall operate as a waiver, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right, power or remedy preclude any other or further exercise of that or any other right, power or remedy.
- The rights, powers and remedies provided to us under these Terms are cumulative and are not exclusive of any rights, powers or remedies provided by law.
12. Jurisdiction
The Terms shall be governed by, takes effect and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Western Australia and all parties irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia and courts entitled to hear appeals from those courts.
