A reign pledged to devotion

On 8 September 2022, Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. For more than seven decades, The Queen upheld a promise she made in which she pledged her heart and devotion to the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

Remarkable Queen design

The coin portrays portraits of Her Majesty The Queen early and later in her reign, each framed in a diamond shape. The design includes representations of St. Edward’s Crown, The Queen’s Royal Cypher, decorative floral motifs and the inscription ‘ELIZABETH REGINA 1926-2022’.

King Charles III obverse

The coin’s obverse bears the first definitive coinage portrait of His Majesty The King by British sculptor Martin Jennings.
