The mythological Chinese dragon is an ancient symbol of wealth and power. Believed to have divine origins, it is revered as a wise and benevolent creature which can bestow blessings on the community.

The coin depicts a stylised representation of a Chinese dragon with its long, sinuous body tightly curled to resemble the shape of two interlocking figure eights - a number strongly associated with money and success in Chinese culture. Also included in the design is the coin’s weight and fineness, the 2022 year-date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
