Story

Exquisitely coloured design

The Chinese dragon is traditionally regarded as the embodiment of the Emperor. Revered as benevolent and noble, it is a potent symbol of abundance and good fortune.

The coin portrays a Chinese dragon – a serpentine shaped mythical creature – exquisitely illuminated in red and gold. Clutching a symbolic pearl in one of its claws. The design includes representations of clouds in the background, denoting the dragon’s celestial realm. Also included in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
