Elegant waterbird

Extremely popular since it was launched in 2017, the Australian Swan features annual designs of the elegant waterbird that glides majestically along estuaries, inlets and rivers across our continent.

High relief design

The coin portrays a swan flapping its wings while settling on water. Its high relief strike, which projects a noticeably fuller impression, includes a night sky featuring representations of a full moon and stars. As well as the inscription ‘2024 5oz 9999 AUSTRALIAN SILVER SWAN’, the reverse also incorporates a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.

H.M. King Charles III effigy

The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and includes the monetary denomination.
