Issued for 2018 is the Year of the Dog, the 11th animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Those born under the influence of this sign are said to be loyal, amiable, kind and friendly.  This stunning silver typeset collection comprises four 1oz 99.99% pure silver coins - a proof, gilded, bullion and coloured finished coin.  

Varied finishes

The reverse of each coin depicts a German shepherd dog and pup lying in grass with Chinese peony flowers in the background.  Each coin demonstrates a different finish. Delicately frosted design on the silver proof coin appears on an immaculately polished table.  The shiny design on the bullion coin appears on a frosted table, whilst the gilded edition highlights the dog in 24 carat gold.  The coloured coin depicts the dog and the pup in vivid hues.  The Chinese character for 'dog' and the inscription 'Year of the Dog' also appear in the design with The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark.
