Story

Innovative design

A golden-coloured compass with a beautifully engraved rim is set into the middle of the coin. The compass moves but is only decorative and not reliable for use. The obverse also includes a decorative border that circles the back of the compass, which features a star pattern.

The reverse of this antiqued silver coin features an interpretation of an ancient world map with mythical sea creatures included in the design. Mythical legends such as Greek gods Poseidon and Aeolus, sea monster Cthulhu, a mermaid and more can all be seen on the coin's reverse.  Also included in the design is The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark, as well as the coin's weight and purity.

Antiqued finish

This coin has been individually ‘antiqued’ to give it a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact. As a result of this treatment, the appearance of each coin may vary.

Presentation packaging

The coin is presented in a classic presentation case, customized shipper and is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
