An Australian icon

The Kangaroo, which takes its name from the Guugu Yimithirr word ‘gangurru’, has been of cultural and spiritual significance to Aboriginal people for thousands of years. Today, it is recognised internationally as Australia’s definitive animal emblem.

Kangaroo design

A mother kangaroo and her baby stand majestically as the sun sets behind the Australian scrubland. This incredible 2oz gold bullion coin also features The Perth Mint’s unique ‘P’ mintmark.

Memorial Obverse

This coin portrays the official Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of Her Majesty’s reign – ‘1952 – 2022’.

Authentication feature

Each coin’s reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass.

Limited mintage

No more than 5,000 Mother and Baby Kangaroo 2023 2oz Gold Bullion Coins will be released.
