Perth Mint bullion coins fulfil investors’ expectations
Renowned internationally for its investment offerings of distinction, The Perth Mint has unveiled the new 2019 designs of the highly anticipated Australian Bullion Coin Program.
Capturing the characteristics of Australia’s iconic fauna and embodying the wealth and good fortune believed to be brought by the animals of the Asian Lunar Calendar, the annual investment program continues to be sought after by institutional and individual investors the world over.
As a global leader in the precious metals industry, The Perth Mint understands the dynamic nature of the market and the ever changing needs of investors.
Investors are increasingly discerning in their search for trusted investment products, and it is Australia’s only official bullion coin program that can deliver the peace of mind they are seeking said Perth Mint Chief Executive Officer Richard Hayes.
“Our Australian bullion coins have always been unique and are keenly sought and trusted globally.”
“Our bullion coin program has evolved over the last 30 years, allowing investors access to gold, silver and platinum coins in weights ranging from 1/20 ounce to 10 kilograms. Annual design changes and select mintages on certain offerings ensure the range remains fresh and highly desirable.
“The legal tender status of each coin guarantees its weight and purity, giving investors worldwide confidence and surety that they are investing in a trusted and enduring asset. This has been paramount to the ongoing success of the program,” continued Mr Hayes.
In 2019, the program’s evolution continues.
In celebration of the reign and extraordinary life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the obverse of this year’s signature Kangaroo, Kookaburra and Koala coins will feature an adaptation of one of the latest portraits of Her Royal Highness, designed by renowned English engraver Jody Clark.
Furthermore, the latest release from the Lunar series which honours the Year of the Pig in 2019 will conclude the second series. A new third Lunar series will enhance and complement this popular investment choice in 2020.
Anticipating high demand for the 2019 designs, the Mint will stagger the release of the nation’s latest bullion coins over the coming months.
The Australian Lunar gold and silver series is now available, with the Australian Kookaburra silver series scheduled for release in October. The suite of Australian Kangaroo coins will then follow in November, with the Australian Koala coins available in January.
The suite of 2019 bullion coins can be purchased from the Bullion Trading Desk at The Perth Mint located at 310 Hay Street in East Perth, by telephoning 1300 201 112 (Australia) or +61 8 9421 7218 (International), and via the online store at perthmintbullion.com.
