In our latest blog we venture into the magical realm of the 12 zodiac signs. Each with unique traits and energies, the 12 zodiac signs have long been linked to various mythological deities, particularly goddesses. These associations help illuminate the strengths, mysteries, and characteristics inherent in each sign. 

Below we provide an overview and share the unique symbolism each goddess holds.   

Aries (March 21 – April 19) 

Asteria, the Goddess of the Stars, represents courage and power. Known for her celestial sovereignty, Asteria's commanding presence and radiant energy illuminate the night sky. 

Taurus (April 20 – May 20) 

Hestia, the goddess of hearth and home, is a symbol of beauty and the simply joys that nature offers. Her modest attire, crowned with a head veil and a staff in her grip, is a testament to her humility and power.  

Gemini (May 21 – June 20) 

Hera, the queen of the gods and goddess of marriage, symbolises powerful matronly figures. Adorned with a splendid polos, she presents a pomegranate, a token of immortality.  

Cancer (June 21 – July 22) 

Selene, the goddess of the moon, is adorned with a radiant nimbus. Holding a torch, she illuminates the cosmos as she drives her celestial moon chariot across the heavens.   

Leo (July 23 – August 22) 

Maia, the goddess of spring and growth, symbolises renewal and fertility. She embodies the nurturing essence of plants and life and is depicted with the blooming flowers of spring in her hair.  

Virgo (August 23 – September 22) 

Metis, the goddess of the wisdom and prudence, is often depicted with birds and spear, symbolising her authority and knowledge.   

Libra (September 23 – October 22) 

Eirenne, the goddess of peace, is known for her calming influence and balanced approach. She is often adorned with powerful symbols such as the abundant Cornucopia, the commanding Sceptre, and the illuminating Torch or Rhyton.    

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21) 

Persephone, queen of the underworld, appears in resplendent robes, grasping a sheaf of grain.  As a mystical divinity she carries a sceptre and a quaint little box, the contents of which spark intrigue and fascination. 

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21) 

Hecate, the goddess of wild places, childbirth and crossroads, is steeped in mystic power. She is distinguished by her unique, triple-bodied stature and is shown holding a torch, keys and snake.  

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19) 

Nyx, the goddess of nighttime and darkness, radiates strength and mystery. She appears with stars shimmering above her head and a black cloth across her garment, a testament to the darkness she rules.  

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) 

Eos, goddess of the dawn, imparts a sense of awe and enchantment as she spreads dew from an upturned urn. Sometimes, you may find her with a torch in hand, symbolising the beacon of light in darkness or commanding a chariot on her noble journey. 

Pisces (February 19 – March 20) 

Theia, goddess of sight, provides clarity, perception and vision. Known for her unparalleled vision, she offers insights into realms that surpass the confines of the imagination.  

About the design 

Struck from 5oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin features a centrepiece symbolising the sun, perfectly encased by a ring segmented into 12 unique zodiac symbols. Each astrological sign's accompanying goddess is illustrated in colour against a backdrop of an enchanting blue sky. Additionally, the coin has been individually ‘antiqued’ to give it a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact. 

The coin’s obverse depicts the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination, and 2025 year-date.
